Minutes of a Special Meeting
November 4, 2009

Mayor Pro Tem Steve Hunt called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. with council
members Janaan Harding, Bill Ramspott and Bob Hoversten present.  Council member
Mike Oliver and Mayor Jeff Fiscus were absent from the meeting.  Also present at the
meeting was Marty Wymore of Region Six Planning Commission, Tom Vanderloop and Lorrie Watts.

Bill Ramspott motioned to accept the agenda, Bob Hoversten seconded the motion and all
present voted aye.  Mayor Pro Tem Steve Hunt opened the Public Hearing for the Community Development Black Grant Application at 7:02 P.M. This application is for
a $300,000.00 grant for wastewater collection system improvements.  There were no
comments or questions, Mayor Pro Tem called for a motion to close the public hearing.
Ramspott motioned to close the public hearing, Hoversten seconded the motion, all voted
aye and the motion carried.  The public hearing was closed at 7:04 P.M.   Marty Wymore
of Region Six Planning Commission reported that he received word that the first round
of CDGB Infrastructure Grant awards would be announced in the next two weeks and the second round of grants would follow in the month after.  He reported that there was $400 million dollars worth of grant applications applying for $122 million dollars of funding  available.  He also reported that applicants could apply for both IJOBS and CDBG grant funding.  Applicants would not be able to receive funding from both sources. 

Bob Hoversten motioned to approve Resolution 12-09.  This resolution approved the City of Alden’s CDBG Water/Sewer Grant Fund Application for wastewater collection system improvements.  Janaan Harding seconded the motion, Ramspott voted aye, Harding voted aye and Hoversten voted aye. 

Public Input:  There was no public input.

Mayor Pro Tem called for a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Hoversten motioned to adjourn the meeting, Ramspott seconded the motion and all present voted aye.  The
meeting adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
